While in Pennsylvania, we had a surprise 60th birthday party for my dad. Keep in mind, he won't be 60 until the end of January, so this was 6 months early. He thought he and my mom were going to a 50th wedding anniversary party. We had it in July because Tyler and I were going to be up and Jamie is moving to Florida in September, so we were all going to be home then.
We had a slideshow going of pictures from Dad's life.

Jamie did a great job making posters of Dad with family and friends.
The buffet was on the other side of that wall. You can see part of the table in this picture.
Guests are starting to arrive and taking their seats.
Dad's cake

We had balloons on all the tables for the centerpieces.
Dad coming in.
Looking at Mama, like, what is this all about?
Still confused.
What the heck?
He whispered in my ear, "Is this really what this is?"
"Yes, a surprise 60th birthday party just for you, 6 months early. Happy Birthday!" :)
We got him!
There was a DJ with dancing. Mama and Dad were awesome cutting a rug. :)
So cute!
Dad and Jamie watching the slideshow.
Other couples were getting out on the dance floor too!
Mitch and Pat, dancing friends of my parents
The guests are all here!
Cousin Jimmy is ready with the fire extinguisher, just in case the cake gets out of hand.
As you can see, it took him more than one breath. ;)
My Tyler and Mama dancing.
I think Jamie was reading the card to Dad because the font was too small for him to see. ;)
What's in the big box?!
His own mailbox! His trickster cousins went to his house after they left and took his mailbox off the post. Dad was in shock!
Not only did they give him his mailbox, but two gerbils too!
Unfortunately, we didn't get a picture of the little things, but they were given away to a nice home later that day.
Opening gifts
Giving his thank you speech after opening all the presents.
He got a little teary eyed.
Ken and Pat dancing to their wedding song. They were the ones who were celebrating their "50th" anniversary. Technically, it was only their 46th, but Dad didn't know that! :)
Happy 60th Birthday Dad! Love you!
