St. Lucia

So I'm a little late in posting this but back in April we went to St. Lucia! We had a great time!

The town where Geoffrey from "Fresh Prince of Belair" grew up. His parents still live there and he comes to visit every other year. This is an off year.

There was a stocked little refrigerator in there! It's so great when you go to an all-inclusive!

There are so many different flowers on this island. That's why it's always been my favorite of any of the islands I've been to! Tyler said it might not be his favorite island but it was definitely the prettiest.

It rained every day we were there, most all day. It was sunny for the short time we were scuba diving but overall, it was mostly rainy. And I mean, POURING rain. This was one time where I was able to sneak in a "sunset" picture. Sadly, it was about the best we got.

From these pictures it looks like I'm a liar but I promise you it rained every day for the vast majority of the day. It was pretty sad since you go on vacation for sunshine and relaxation! We made the best of it though.

We were getting desperate by the end so we were just snapping pictures so we had some.

There used to be a tree where the hole is. This vine strangled it to death. Crazy!

We took a free canopy tram tour of the rainforest. Where, guess what?? Not only did it rain, it poured!! Thank goodness they gave us ponchos to wear. They did say it rains every day in the rainforest. Huh, go figure.

These purple flowers were in the running for the country's national flower but lost to the rose and marguerite.

Again, we were just trying to get pictures when we could.

There were always lots of little lizards running around.

The English Pub restaurant at Sandals Regency. We stayed at Sandals Halcyon but the cool thing is, you can take a shuttle bus to either of the other two Sandals on the islands. So we did that a couple times to check out the other restaurants. We went to Sandals La Toc one day for brick oven pizza. They were little personal pan sized. Neat!

We went on a rainforest bike riding tour on Friday. Where again, guess what?? It POURED! So much so, that we were supposed to be able to swim underneath the waterfall when we were done, but it had rained so much over the course of the week, that they wouldn't let us because it was too dangerous. The locals said they had never ever seen the waterfall like that before. We were able to stand on the mountain and take pictures though.

Our last night in St. Lucia. This was at Sandals La Toc. We went there for the French restaurant for dinner. We were sad we were leaving and that it had rained so much.

The last day we were there, Saturday, it was beautiful and sunny. Of course! Oh well. We had a wonderful trip anyway. Can't wait to see where we go next year!!
