Our geocaching trip

On Friday we left for a quick weekend trip to geocache in some "new" states for us.  We took off and headed to Indiana first.  It took us about 7 hours or so to spent our first night in New Albany, Indiana. We spent Saturday geocaching in Indiana and working our way back to Kentucky (breaking the drive back home up a little bit).  We spent Saturday night in Ashland, Kentucky and geocached some in Ohio on Sunday.  Around lunchtime we started heading home.  It was so wonderful to have a weekend away together, enjoying each other's company.  We really love being married! :) (Or maybe I should speak for myself since Tyler isn't around to confirm. ;) )  

A great BIG thanks to my sweetie as he pretty much planned everything from getting our GPS hooked up with all the geocaches to planning where we were going to stay each night.  All I did was come along for the ride!

 When Tyler was growing up, he used to live in Kansas and Iowa.  His grandparents lived in Virginia.  During the summer his parents would ship him and his brother off to stay with his grandparents for awhile.  They always met at the same Knight's Inn in Kentucky.  Well, of course we had to stop and reminisce about  the days of yore!  He was so excited he found the same one.

I was talking about Tyler's childhood earlier.  This is one of the two tunnels on I-77 that I used to travel on as a kid when we would make our trip to Florida to see my grandparents.  So neat for us both to experience  a blast from the past on this trip!
