Beginning our journey

Good morning world! Saturday, April 3rd we got up about 4:15am to catch our 5:30am flight out of Roanoke. Our wonderful neighbor, Dave drove us to the airport. We flew to Charlotte and then on to San Juan, Puerto Rico. As you can see, with leaving so early we were able to see the sunrise over Charlotte. :) It was beautiful.

At this point, Tyler was not feeling too well. Thankfully we bought some Tums and he started feeling better before we left Charlotte around 10am.
It was a 3 hour flight from Charlotte to San Juan. As you can see, we were pretty well worn out already. Not the best picture of us.

Again, pretty worn out.
He's thinking, Do you really have to take my picture right now??
We're ready to get this show on the road!
Our boat was docked right by a little airport in San Juan (not the one we flew into). We sat and watched planes fly in and out for awhile.
This crew member was fishing without a pole off the side of the ship, probably trying to catch our dinner. :) I stuck my camera out the side of the boat to take his picture and he was looking at me! He looks annoyed! Yikes!

Waiting to sail off
Oh no! Throw me a line!
Saved! :)
We sailed off about 8:30 that night. Sadly, the night pictures did not turn out great so there are none on here. However, it was a very nice, breezy, beautiful night to set sail. So exciting!
