While we were in Tennessee, we stayed in a cabin in Gatlinburg. And yes, we saw black bears!
We came home for lunch one afternoon only to find this in our neighbor's trash!
She also had three little cubs with her.
She was very protective of her young. At one point, she started charging at us, as we were a little too close to her babies for comfort.
We saw them a couple times while we were there. It was definitely a neat experience.
