I made a quick trip to Erie and back last weekend. While I was there we went to the beach. It was awfully cold but it's always good to go down there.
We all looked for beach glass and found quite a bit!
As I said, it was cold and windy. Dad didn't bring anything to cover his ears, so for awhile, he used his hands.
Mama and Dad walking down the beach.
Some icicles hanging off the end of the pier.
This is not typically what Lake Erie looks like in the winter. Normally, it is frozen over or at least mostly frozen over. As it is down here in Virginia, it is exceptionally warm for them in Erie right now.
You can see there is hardly any snow on the beach. Again, not normal. Usually there are snow dunes that are hard as a rock and you can walk on them. However, you have to be careful with the lake and the beach during most winters, as the snow/ice can break and you can fall through. They are tall enough that you can't just climb out.

3 of us, Tyler didn't come with me and Jamie was at work
Mama gave Dad her scarf to keep his ears warm. They were pretty red!
