Bah-ston

On Friday we made our way to Boston after staying overnight in Attleboro, MA.
This is a map of the train stations going in and out of Boston.  We took the green line from Riverside to Boylston, basically the whole length of the green line.  It took about 45 minutes and was a very old train!
Tyler talking to a squirrel in The Commons in downtown Boston.  The squirrels are pretty domesticated there due to the population of people who walk through and feed them.
 Another view of The Commons
Some kind of statue in The Commons.
Looks like they were getting ready for a concert in the park, after all, it was Friday night!
 Boston, MA
We at lunch at M.J. O'Connor's Irish Pub.  We love eating at local places.
Tyler trying to figure out where we were going to go to get Boston Cream Pie.

The Frog Pond but it had swan boats on it.  Don't ask me.
So I told Tyler we should pose like this statue and get someone to take our picture by it.  You'll see why that was a joke in the next photo. :)
 Very interesting.
 Cheers!
The real Cheers bar from the set.
The stairway down to the Cheers restaurant in Boston.
 Beautiful city
 We found this amusing.
The fancy buildings where they have the Hooker entrance.  It's actually the Massachusetts State House.
 General Hooker
There is a popular legend that "hooker" as a slang term for a prostitute is derived from his last name[19] because of parties and a lack of military discipline at his headquarters. Some versions of the legend claim that the band of prostitutes that followed his division were derisively referred to as "General Hooker's Army" or "Hooker's Brigade."[20] However, the term "hooker" was used in print as early as 1845, years before Hooker was a public figure,[21] and is likely derived from the concentration of prostitutes around the shipyards and ferry terminal of the Corlear's Hook area of Manhattan in the early to middle 19th century, who came to be referred to as "hookers".[22] The prevalence of the Hooker legend may have been at least partly responsible for the popularity of the term.
If you care to read more about him, you can always go to
 Our Boston Cream Pie
 Oooooh yeah!
This thing was hanging between two buildings and sparkled like crazy in the sun.  Not really sure why it was there, but it was pretty.
The terminal to get on the train/subway.
 That's not our train.
There it is!
Boston was a very pretty place to visit.  As always, we wish we would have had more time to do some sightseeing, but we had place to go!  We did find a geocache in both NYC and downtown Boston though.  Mission accomplished!
