New York City baby!

So this trip was primarily a geocaching trip, however, we did get to see some sights while we were up there.  One of the things we decided to do was to go to NYC to see the place where the new World Trade Center is being built.  Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to go through the memorial, but we were able to see them building the new buildings at least.  

 We saw the Statue of Liberty from behind.

 This is an Irish cottage when you first get off the ferry in NYC.  It is so beautiful and shocking to see when there are buildings everywhere else around you.

You had to walk through this tunnel-like thing to get to the Irish cottage.  This is a view looking through it.  The next picture explains the lines.

 As you see, there are Irish proverbs on those lines in the tunnel.

As you can probably see, there are names of police officers etched into the wall in the back.

 A park in the middle of NYC where people from the financial district go to eat lunch or just relax.  It was very pretty.

The part we went through was a little sketchy.  Overall though, we would like to plan a trip back to NYC to see more of the popular sights. It's a big city!
