On Wednesday T.J. (I work with her) had her bachelorette party at Smith Mountain Lake. We started off at the lake, proceeded to the motel and then headed out for dinner and drinks.

Chillin' on the boat
So we asked all the appropriate questions when we rented the boat, you know, do we have enough gas, are we good on oil and everything and they said yes. We get to the cliffs (a place to jump off of that unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of) and we stall out. We tried to get it started but could not. These pirates took us in and tried to help us out. Sadly, we could not get the boat going again. After 3 hours of waiting around, the company we rented from finally came to get us. They tried for another hour, changing the gas and oil, and finally got it started. There were two employees so one of them drove the pontoon back while the other drove the speed boat behind us following. As you will see further on down the post, we ended up asking if some of us could ride back in the speed boat. Five of us got to go.
See, I told you they were pirates! ;)
The bride sliding into the water with her beer in her hand. She did manage to keep it above water. Go T.J.!
Swimming
We were told we looked like we were victims of the Titanic with our orange life vests. :)
Riding back on the speed boat. So much fun!
There's our pontoon putting along.
Not the greatest picture of me but on here for your viewing pleasure. :)
Me and Sam
As I said, after we got back from the lake we went to the motel to get ready for our night on the town.
T.J. was all decked out with bachelorette decor.

The Lake Inn was the name of the motel we stayed at. It was pretty nice. We had a lot of fun and I was glad I was able to go. Thanks for inviting me T.J.!
