So when it's cold outside, usually below freezing, we bring Shelby into the basement so he can stay warm. During the day when the sun is out, we try to send him outside for some fresh air and to run around so he doesn't get bored cooped up in the basement all the time. We found that Shelby does NOT like to touch the snow at all. He has found himself a little igloo to camp out in during the day while he is not in the basement.
As you can see, he jumps right out of the hole and onto this branch to stay out of the snow.
