Hiking to Fullhardt Knob

Last Sunday we decided to go on a picnic hike. We were going to do it Saturday but it rained. We headed to Troutville and started our trek up to Fulhardt Knob. It was a lot of fun and an easy hike. We only encountered one other hiker along the way. At the top we stopped to eat lunch. There really wasn't a good view from the top so these are pictures from along the way.
These are some views from the cow pasture we had to walk through. Thankfully the cows had recently been moved to one cow pasture over. (Don't ask me how I knew that. :S )

Here is a picture of the stream at the bottom of the big hill that was part of the cow pasture.
We made it!
A view we caught on the way down. Prickly, prickly pinecones! Tyler wanted his picture taken in the "tree tunnel." Okay, so Tyler found this branch sitting between the trunk of the tree. He decided this would make a good seesaw. Here is a side profile of the "seesaw." Tyler going up! Jenny going up!
This is a video of the tree "seesaw." Enjoy! It was actually pretty high off the ground when you were at the top.
